6. Intellectual Property

a. Awareness and Responsibility

The iazo Platform contains an extensive amount of intellectual property, and it is therefore extremely important for all Members to be aware of and respect the intellectual property rights of others, including but not limited to, copyright and trademark rights. When creating, authoring, and/or publishing Member Content on the Platform, it is your responsibility alone to ensure that the Member Content does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights or any rights of iazo Members, other persons, businesses, or entities. If you are not the owner of the intellectual property that you post, publish, and/or make available on iazo, you must first obtain all necessary licenses, permissions, and rights from the owner of the intellectual property to use that content on iazo.

For further information regarding Member Content and your responsibilities, please read the Member Content section of our Terms of Service.

b. Protections and Actions

We believe in protecting the intellectual property rights of all people, and this extends far beyond the Members of iazo. We therefore monitor iazo for infringement of intellectual property rights, including but not limited to, copyright and trademark rights, and when appropriate will take corrective action(s) to protect the intellectual property rights of iazo Members, other persons, businesses, and entities.

If you infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others, we may remove your infringing Member Content, in whole or part, to be determined at our sole discretion. It is also our policy, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, to suspend or delete the iazo accounts of Members who repeatedly infringe or are charged repeatedly with infringing the intellectual property rights of others.

For further information regarding Intellectual Property on iazo, please read our Copyright Policy and Trademark Policy.

b. Incorporated Audio

You may not include, incorporate, integrate, or synchronize any audio content, music, dialogue, sound effects, or other ambient audio in your non-audio Member Content (ex. video) (collectively, the “Incorporated Audio”) without first obtaining any additional rights, clearances, and permissions necessary to use any Incorporated Audio.

c. Placeholder Content

Nudity that exists in artistic, scientific, or educational contexts is generally acceptable, but is also subject to our approval. Such examples of acceptable nudity may include paintings, statues, artwork, content demonstrating breastfeeding, mastectomies, or other medical related images. Any Member Content that displays or depicts nude children or minors is explicitly forbidden with the exception of infants. c. Violence

Any Member Content that exists for the purpose of inciting, fomenting, spreading, promoting, or glorifying violence is strictly forbidden. There is a fine line between portraying occurrences of violence and violence in historical contexts and using such instances of violence to incite further violence. We are wise to this manipulative form of content and will delete it immediately upon discovery. It is permissible to portray acts of violence when reporting news, current events, or when in a historical context. However, when portraying violence under such circumstances you are required to do so in a responsible manner that does not further spread violence.

We do not allow any Member Content that is used to promote, perpetuate, or spread forms of organized violence or to support violent organizations, including but not limited to, international and domestic terrorist organizations, anti-government groups, organized crime groups, gangs, or cults. We will suspend or delete accounts belonging to any individual or group that is dedicated to harming others and/or causing violence to occur, whether directly or indirectly. We do not allow any Member Content that displays, rationalizes, or encourages any form of self-harm, including but not limited to, suicide, self-injury, eating disorders, and substance abuse. This includes content with instructions and advice on how to harm yourself, or any media portraying the tools and techniques to harm yourself. Any content mocking or disparaging people struggling with self-harm related issues will be deleted immediately. When speaking of self-harm related issues, please carefully consider how your words may influence another person struggling with that issue.

This is specifically targeted at overt media (photos, videos, audio, etc.) of a person(s) being harmed or killed. b. Inappropriate Content Flags

The iazo Platform is extensive, and in order to effectively monitor and moderate it, we need your help to report any instances of inappropriate Member Content (the “Inappropriate Content”). We have therefore made it possible for all Members to report any Post or Comment to us by flagging it as inappropriate (a “Flag,” “Inappropriate Content Flag,” or “Flagged Content”).

You can quickly and conveniently Flag any Inappropriate Content, including but not limited to: (i) inappropriate/offensive content or language; (ii) inappropriate/offensive media; (iii) pornographic content; (iv) illegal content; (v) trolling activity; (vi) spam or solicitation; (vii) copyright infringement; and (viii) trademark infringement. All submitted Flags are carefully reviewed, and if a Post or Comment receives beyond a certain number of Flags, it will be automatically removed from the Platform until we have had a chance to officially review it.

We may review Flags at the time and rate of our choosing, and when appropriate remove Flags from a Post or Comment. All decisions regarding Flags, and how they are judged against these Terms of Service, all of our Policies and Guidelines, or any law or regulation, are at our sole discretion. We have the right and authority to change, modify, or delete any Post or Comment, without notice, and at our sole discretion, that has been Flagged, or that we feel violates these Terms of Service, any of our Policies and Guidelines, or any law or regulation.
